Classical music is a unique phenomenon. It is hard to find a more emotionally filled kind of art which can be understood by anyone in the world. Our mission is to help conductors and orchestras to run their projects. We believe that assisting conductors and orchestras will positively influence the whole industry. ICU runs both educational and concert programs and collaborates with a vast number of institutions.

Maestro Vincent de Kort, born in the Netherlands, is high in demand with the world’s leading opera houses and festivals, including Mariinsky Theatre St Petersburg (invited by Valery Gergiev), Royal Swedish Opera, Bolshoi Theatre Moscow, Opera Leipzig, Scottish Opera, Semperoper Dresden, New National Theatre Tokyo, Opera Bern, Opera Luzern, Vienna’s Schönbrunn Festival, Edinburgh Festival and the Nelson Mandela Theatre in Johannesburg.After a career as a cellist in 1995, at the invitation of Mariss Jansons, Vincent de Kort made his conducting debut with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. De Kort’ is a regular guest with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Staatskapelle Dresden, Mariinsky Orchestra, Orchestre Métropolitain de Montreal, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Netherlands Philharmonic, Residentie Orchestra, Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra, Brussels Philharmonic, Sinfonia Varsovia, New Japan Philharmonic and others. Next year he will make his debut at the Lincoln Centre in New York. Having studied with Mariss Jansons in Oslo, he continued his studies in St. Petersburg with Ilya Musin, the legendary teacher of Valery Gergiev, and was the assistant conductor to Bernard Haitink, William Christie, and Gennady Rozhdestvensky. Vincent is jury chairman of the highly popular Dutch TV show MAESTRO. In addition to his performing career de Kort is a passionate marathon runner. Brenda Leach

Maestro Brenda Lynne Leach is a versatile conductor of both orchestras and choral ensembles. She has performed extensively in France, Germany, Great Britain, Israel, Russia, Estonia, Bulgaria, Latvia, Canada and the USA. She is an active guest conductor having worked with orchestras including the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, the St. Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra, the Bostonian Opera and Chamber Ensemble, and the Moscow Chamber Orchestra to name a few. Performing engagements have taken her to major stages from the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC to the St. Petersburg Grand Philharmonic Hall, Russia. An organ recitalist as well, she has appeared as a soloist and featured artist with orchestras including the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. In the Boston area, Brenda Leach served as the Artistic Director and Conductor of the Boston Chamber Orchestra, a critically-acclaimed ensemble devoted to the performance of both classical repertoire and new music. She was the Principal Guest Conductor of the Nashua Symphony Chorus and Orchestra (NH), the first woman to hold an artistic appointment with this orchestra. She has been described as a conductor who “conquers by her musicality, nuance and flexibility.” Brenda Leach holds the Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees from the Eastman School of Music. She studied conducting with Neeme Jarvi, Alexander Polishchuk, and Sir David Willcocks. Her dedication to the role of the arts in audience development and community outreach led her to receiving a Master of Education in the Arts from Harvard University. A dedicated educator, she presents masterclasses and has held faculty and conducting positions at Harvard University and Haverford College.

Günter Neuhold was born in Graz, Austria, in 1947. In 1969 he completed his studies at the Graz Conservatoire with a masters degree. He then followed advanced courses in Rome with Franco Ferrara and in Vienna with Prof. Hans Swarowsky.
